Top Gun Cornhusker Classic Brings 120 Softball Teams to Omaha
A premier softball tournament is coming to Omaha from October 25 to 27, bringing 120 teams from across the region. So far this year, the Omaha Visitors Center and airport information kiosks have assisted 33,972 visitors. To enhance its experience and promote local businesses, the Omaha Visitors Center, located at 10th and Harney, has expanded its hours of operation during major events and is celebrating social holidays like National Tea Day and National Donut Day. Partnering with local businesses, like The Tea Smith, Le Quartier Bakery & Cafe, Pettit’s Pastry, Olsen’s Bake Shop, The Bubbly Tart and more, the Omaha Visitors Center staff and volunteers serve curated treats to anyone who stops by for information or inspiration. To spread awareness about the center and show appreciation to the hospitality community, members of the visitors center team also deliver goodies to local hotel frontline staff prior to the holiday and encourage the hotel staff to direct guests their way. It’s a sweet recipe for happy visitors and successful partnerships.

Omaha Restaurant Week is back from September 13-22, 2024. Omaha’s 10 Tastiest Days features 50 restaurants offering discounted three-course dinners priced from $20 to $50 per person. The event, organized by Visit Omaha, showcases the city's diverse culinary scene and provides a platform for local chefs to display their creativity. It also helps neighbors in need. A portion of proceeds from Omaha Restaurant Week will be donated to Food Bank for the Heartland. Attendees will enjoy a variety of dining options, including steakhouses, Chinese, Mexican, Indian, Mediterranean, breweries, pizzerias and more.
