Construction is progressing at the future Boho Flats building on the northwest corner of 13th & Pine Street in Little Bohemia. When completed next year, the 4-story building will have 59 apartments and 5,000 sq. ft. of retail space. The new building is going up on the former Ethnic Sandwich Shop building site.

The Still Fine Wine & Spirits Superstore is under construction near 204th & V Street in the Coventry development. The retailer’s existing location is in Lincoln at 6820 South 70th Street. The Still is Lincoln’s largest liquor store and has been in business for 35 years. When it opens next fall, it will join a crowded Omaha market, which earlier this saw the arrival of liquor superstore chains Total Wine and Macadoodles.

Construction is progressing on Broadmoor Development’s 550-unit apartment project at 144th & Blossom Avenue in Heartwood Preserve. The project sits on 14 acres immediately north of Millard North High School. When complete, the apartments will surround and mostly hide the large parking garage that has already been built on the site.

Crews are making progress on an office building at Heartwood Preserve. The 4-story office building will be part of The Row at Heartwood Preserve southwest of 144th & West Dodge Road. Olsson, an engineering and design firm, will house its 300-plus Omaha-area employees in the building when it’s complete in 2026. The building will also have street-level retail space. Additionally, two adjacent buildings — a multi-family residential building and a 4-star hotel — are in the design phase.

The future Green State Credit Union building is framed and mostly enclosed on the southwest corner of 180th & West Maple Road. Green State Credit Union is based in North Liberty, Iowa, which is part of the Iowa City area. They have about 30 Branches, all in Iowa and Illinois, including the Chicago area. The new Omaha office will be the first location west of Des Moines, Iowa.

Brad Williams captured this night-time shot of construction going on at the $600 million Mutual of Omaha tower site. Work is progressing on the central core, also known as a shear tower. Work is now underway on the 25th floor of that core, which will contain elevator shafts. Work is also wrapping up on the parking-garage portion of the project. At 677 feet, the 44-story tower will be the tallest in a multi-state region. Though the 800,000 sq. ft. building is not due for completion until 2026, it is already the third-tallest building in Omaha.

Crews are assembling the steel skeleton for Foodbank for Heartland’s $37 million building on the northeast corner of 84th & L Street. When the new building is complete in 2026, the food bank will move from its current location at 10525 J Street. The 105,000 sq. ft. building is under construction on a 12-acre site formerly occupied by H&H Chevrolet before it moved to the Steel Ridge development near Interstate 80 & Highway 370.

Construction has gone vertical on The Nook Apartments near 8th & Pine Street in Little Italy. This new multi-family development will take up much of the vacant land left over from the defunct Grace University. The project will have 250 market-rate apartments and townhomes in a total of 10 new buildings.
