Woodbury Corp. Breaks Ground on Crossroads

June 18, 2025

Woodbury Corporation, a full-service real estate management and development company, along with development partner WRK Real Estate, broke ground this week on Gamescape by Cinemark at the Crossroads. The all-in-one immersive entertainment destination will be the first in the state, and one of the first in the country. Gamescape is the first announced tenant of the development.

Gamescape by Cinemark is an all-in-one entertainment destination for all ages that includes movie auditoriums, a full-service restaurant and bar, bowling, an arcade, laser tag, and more. The $850 million crossroads project is northwest of 72nd & Dodge Street.

“We are pleased to officially break ground on Gamescape by Cinemark, an exciting new venue that will bring the best in family entertainment to Omaha,” said Jay Jostrand, Cinemark Executive Vice President of Real Estate and Construction. “This milestone reflects the collaboration with our partners and the city, as we work together to provide immersive, out-of-home experiences to the entire community.”

Construction will begin this summer and is expected to take approximately two years to complete. The parking garage will be built first, followed by the Gamescape building, resulting in the first completed project on Crossroads.

Also this summer, construction will begin on Block B which includes an 800-stall parking garage along with 200 multifamily units with retail on the ground floor. Block B, located off Cass Street, is expected to be completed the same time as Gamescape.

Along with the groundbreaking, new branding was unveiled for Crossroads.

“The new Crossroads icon we created showcases many layers to explore and discover, while encouraging the coming and going of daily life that surely will happen here,” said Clint Runge, the founder of Arrival, a nationally recognized place branding studio. “The new look of Crossroads branding is professional for businesses, exciting for shoppers, approachable for neighbors, fresh for residents and most importantly, worthy of the center of Omaha.”
