Visit Omaha Targets Growth With 2026 Marketing Plan

January 20, 2026

Visit Omaha is rolling out a 2026 marketing strategy designed to increase visitation, support local businesses and strengthen the region’s economy.

Visit Omaha’s marketing team leads all leisure advertising and promotion for Visit Omaha, manages VisitOmaha.com, creates the Omaha Visitors Guide and produces social media, e-newsletters and earned media outreach.

The 2026 marketing plan focuses on attracting visitors from key Midwest drive markets, including Kansas City; Des Moines, Iowa; Sioux Falls, S.D.; Minneapolis; and Chicago, and expanding outreach to new fly markets.

New initiatives include improving VisitOmaha.com with keyword-driven content to capture travel demand, launching targeted digital and social media campaigns and expanding Spanish-language marketing to reach new audiences. Additional efforts will promote Omaha Restaurant Week, highlight new and upgraded sports facilities and connect Omaha to global travel conversations tied to the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Tourism is a key economic driver for Omaha. Visit Omaha’s 2026 marketing strategy aims to support hospitality jobs and generate new economic activity across Omaha’s neighborhoods.
