Omaha Rolls Out Welcome Mat for College Baseball’s Biggest Stage

June 17, 2026

The Men’s College World Series is underway in Omaha June 12 to 22. Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Texas, Troy and West Virginia are competing for the championship. Thousands of visitors have descended on downtown to support their teams.

Omaha’s hospitality community aims to make every visitor’s experience memorable and to make every player feel like a champion.

This year, Visit Omaha’s services team assembled 400 welcome bags for the student-athletes. Each bag included snacks from local businesses such as The
Gourmet Granola, Vic’s Popcorn and BeefCake Jerky, with a handwritten good luck card from a local student or youth baseball player.

The Men’s College World Series has called Omaha home since 1950.
