Visit Omaha Showcases Meetings at Chicago Event

December 3, 2025

Omaha is taking its growing meetings industry presence to Chicago this week as four team members from Visit Omaha and two partners join more than 700 meeting professionals at Holiday Showcase. The two-day gathering from December 3 to 4, hosted by Association Forum, offers planners education, networking and an exhibit hall designed to help them discover new destinations and solutions for their events.

The Visit Omaha booth showcases the city’s convention and meetings offerings with its “Where Work and Play” backdrop and updated city graphics. Visitors can pick up a one-of-a-kind holiday ornament made by a Hot Shops artist and enter to win an Omaha getaway.

In partnership with Gallup, Visit Omaha is also hosting a special leadership session at the conference. Tim Hodges, Ph.D., will present “The Four Needs of Followers: The Foundation of Exceptional Leadership” on Wednesday, Dec. 3. He will offer practical tools for building trust, strengthening teams and increasing engagement.

“Holiday Showcase gives us the opportunity to show meeting planners what makes Omaha an ideal host city,” said Mattie Scheeter, vice president of sales and convention services. “Omaha offers a great convention package and surprising attractions that are great off-site venue options for opening ceremonies and closing celebrations.”
