The June 27th Lightning Round

This week’s Grow Omaha Lightning Round, sponsored by USG Construction, starts with Breakfast Club opening at 2121 South 67th Street in Aksarben Village inside the former Jones Bros. Cupcakes space. Amaravathi has opened at 12317 West Maple Road in the former Dolce space in Tranquility Place with South Indian cuisine, and Hawaiian Bros has opened at 1130 North 203rd Street near 204th and Veterans Drive.

The segment also includes Skylark Meats LLC informing Mayor John Ewing and Rapid Response Nebraska that it plans to close its plant at 4430 South 110th Street on August 25, affecting 218 employees. Academy Sports Bar, which opened temporarily in the Nova Apartments building at 12th and Nicholas before the College World Series, is scheduled for its full permanent opening in early August. The Peach Cobbler Factory is also coming to 2501 South 90th Street in Loveland Shopping Center.
