Hubbell Enters Omaha Market with La Vista Multifamily Development

August 22, 2024

Hubbell Realty Company of West Des Moines, Iowa, has announced its first Omaha-area project, Sagebrook, a 264-unit multifamily development, to be constructed northwest of 96th & Giles Road in La Vista. The $55 million project will include 180 apartments and 84 rental townhomes along with a clubhouse, pool, fitness center, dog park and garages.

Construction is set to begin this month and be completed in late 2025. A groundbreaking celebration will take place Tuesday, August 27th at 12 noon.

“We look at this 15-acre site as an opportunity to provide a fantastic land use solution for the city of La Vista,” said Matt Weller, vice president of development with Hubbell. “As a longstanding real estate developer, we’re thrilled to officially enter the Omaha area and adapt our communities to best fit the growing housing need here.”

“The Sagebrook Apartments will help further diversify our housing base and be a fantastic addition to the La Vista community,” said Mayor Douglas Kindig. “I look forward to the ribbon cutting ceremony for this project and welcoming you to our community.”

Sagebrook will have roughly 450 parking spaces for residents. La Vista has a 6.4 percent vacancy rate and an overall 3.2 percent annual rent growth, according to Hubbell. It was recently reported that Omaha leads all major U.S. markets in apartment rent growth.

Hubbell, a 168-year-old company, has developed more than $2.1 billion in project volume, built roughly 6,800 multifamily units and manages more than 10,000 apartments in the Midwest.
