Greater Omaha Chamber and Scott Data Partner to Promote AI

May 19, 2025

The Greater Omaha Chamber and Scott Data, a nonprofit AI solutions provider, announced a strategic new partnership to position Omaha as the premier destination for artificial intelligence innovation and adoption. The partnership is intended to accelerate the adoption of AI by Omaha-area businesses—particularly small and mid-sized companies and startups—through education, technical advising and affordable access to advanced AI computing.

“This partnership is a bold step forward in making Omaha the premier destination in the Midwest – and the country – for AI innovation and adoption,” said Heath Mello, president & CEO of the Greater Omaha Chamber. “We are building Omaha into a city of the future where cutting-edge technology, strategic vision, and momentum blaze a trail for future generations. This announcement sets the tone for what is next for our city and is a clear signal to new-to-market companies and existing businesses alike: if you’re looking to lead in AI, Omaha is where you want to be.”

The initiative brings together the Chamber’s economic development leadership with Scott Data’s unique AI-ready infrastructure and services. Located in Aksarben Village, Scott Data’s 110,000 sq. ft., Tier III data center has been enhanced with banks of high-speed AI processors, now available to lease through a colocation model that drastically reduces costs and barriers for businesses to engage with AI.

“We believe the Greater Omaha area has an unfair advantage in the race for AI adoption,” said Ken Moreano, president & CEO of Scott Data. “With the infrastructure, expertise and partnerships we’ve built, Omaha is uniquely equipped to help companies start and scale their AI journey.”

Scott Data’s SEEKER platform and AI incubator services will play a key role in helping businesses explore use cases and implement AI technologies, while the Chamber will integrate AI readiness discussions into its regular growth consultations with area businesses. Chamber members will also have access to discounted services and expert guidance through the partnership.

“AI computing already is starting to be so important to businesses that it might be considered a basic utility. Just as the chamber touts Omaha’s electric power capacity when recruiting new businesses to the area, the city’s impressive AI assets can serve as a similar draw,” said Alec Gorynski, senior vice president of economic development for the Greater Omaha Chamber.
