Garry Clark, executive director of the Omaha Inland Port Authority, joins the June 27, 2026 Grow Omaha show to explain how the authority supports transportation, logistics, infrastructure and economic development in North Omaha. Clark says the Omaha Inland Port Authority was created in 2024 and has a nearly 3,000-acre boundary that includes areas around 16th Street, Abbott Drive, Freedom Park, Locust Street, 31st Street and Ames Avenue.
Clark discusses the authority’s connection to ARPA funds, Airport Business Park, the Innovation District and housing. He also outlines the relationship with Omaha Economic Development Corporation, including Enterprise Park, the 5906 Abbott Drive property, a future tenant expected to bring about 150 jobs, the July 7 unveiling of the first Innovation District hub space at 2909 Ames Avenue and a housing component that includes 20 single-family units and 150 multifamily units. The segment closes with Clark reciting one of his poems.
