City of Omaha Responds to Blackstone Property Cave-in

The City of Omaha has declared a Blackstone property “danger closed” until further assessment can be done following a cave-in this morning 3810-3812 Farnam Street. A portion of sidewalk has given way and exposed the basement. Utilities have been shut off. A stretch of Farnam Street remains closed. City officials will meet with engineers and the building’s owner Monday to determine next steps. Residents of two neighboring properties were briefly evacuated but later allowed to return.
