Visit Omaha’s sports sales team is in Las Vegas this week for the Sports ETA Symposium, hosted by the Sports Events and Tourism Association, April 20-23. The team has 38 appointments with National Governing Bodies and sports organizations, targeting events for future business in Omaha. Visit Omaha team members will present CHI Health Center Omaha, Levi Carter Lake, UBT and the Tranquility Park development.
The annual symposium brings together rights holders, event organizers and destination marketers from across the country for educational sessions, networking events and one-on-one appointments.
For Omaha, the event is an opportunity to build awareness of the city’s sports facilities, central location and track record hosting major competitions, from NCAA championships to Olympic trials.
Sports tourism fills hotel rooms and drives visitor spending year-round. Visit Omaha’s team aims to identify the right events and grow them into annual fixtures for the city.
