Greater Omaha continues to build momentum as a competitive destination for advanced manufacturing, energy infrastructure, and next-generation industry.
Eaton – a global power management company with nearly $25 billion in annual revenue – has announced plans to expand its operations in Bellevue with a new 370,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility, a tangible signal of that momentum in action. The more than $30 million investment, driven by rapidly increasing demand tied to advanced manufacturing, represents both a significant economic win today and a strategic positioning for the future.
This expansion is expected to bring more than 200 high-quality jobs to the region, building on Eaton’s existing workforce of approximately 175 employees in the area. These are the types of jobs that strengthen families, support communities and contribute to long-term economic growth. At the same time, the project reinforces Greater Omaha’s growing role in advanced manufacturing and the critical infrastructure supporting the digital economy.
Behind every project like this is a deeper story: one rooted in collaboration, strategy, and execution.
This win was a direct result of a coordinated, regional approach through the Greater Omaha Economic Development Partnership. By bringing together communities, organizations and leaders across our eight-county, two-state region, the Partnership ensures that Greater Omaha competes, and wins, on a national and global stage.
The ability to align quickly, present a unified regional value proposition, and respond to the evolving needs of companies like Eaton is what sets this region apart. In today’s competitive environment, where projects of this scale are evaluated across multiple states and regions, that level of coordination is essential.
Equally important is the Chamber’s ongoing work to strengthen the region’s business climate through thoughtful, pro-growth public policy. By advocating for competitive, predictable and forward-looking policies, we are helping create an environment where companies like Eaton can invest with confidence and scale for the future.
A key partner in this effort was Grow Sarpy, whose collaboration was essential and instrumental in helping bring this project to fruition and ultimately closing the deal.
As Lisa Scheve, Executive Director of Grow Sarpy, shared:“We are thrilled to welcome Eaton to Bellevue. This expansion is a tremendous win for our community—bringing quality jobs, strengthening our local economy and reinforcing that Bellevue and Sarpy County are places where companies can grow and succeed. We’re grateful for the strong partnership that helped bring this project across the finish line.”
For Greater Omaha, this is palpable proof that our economic development system is moving us forward. It demonstrates that the region has the workforce, the infrastructure, the partnerships and the strategic alignment necessary to compete in high-growth, high-impact industries. It shows that when regional partners work together with focus and urgency, the results are tangible and meaningful.
As we look ahead, projects like Eaton’s expansion continue to build confidence in the region’s trajectory. They create momentum that attracts additional investment, supports existing businesses and strengthens our ability to recruit talent.
