Silicon Prairie Startup Week 2025 is set to return September 27 and October 6–11, bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, innovators and community leaders for a weeklong celebration of startup culture across Nebraska. With events in Omaha and Lincoln, this year’s program features high-energy competitions, industry-driven discussions, and unique opportunities for founders to connect and grow.
“This week celebrates the individuals who make up our startup ecosystem in Greater Omaha. From dynamic panel discussions to interactive showcases and networking opportunities, this week shines a spotlight on the trail-blazing spirit flourishing across the heartland. The Greater Omaha Chamber is proud to support Silicon Prairie Week as it fuels growth, inspires creativity, and demonstrates the vibrancy of the Silicon Prairie,” said Aron Wehr, vice president of marketing & communications of the Greater Omaha Chamber.
Among the marquee events is the 10 Hour Challenge x Jumpstart in Lincoln, a contest designed to push teams to develop innovative solutions in just ten hours. Participants will tackle real-world problems posed by companies or organizations, with winners earning prizes and valuable exposure to potential partners and investors.
In Omaha, the Silicon Prairie Startup Week Pitch Competition sponsored by Open Range will spotlight some of the region’s most promising startups as they vie for a $10,000 cash prize and recognition before a panel of seasoned investors and business leaders. This competition offers founders a platform to share their vision, validate their business models, and compete for top honors in front of a live audience.
The Greater Omaha Chamber will also host two key sessions during the week:
- Artificial Intelligence: Shaping the Future of Business – A discussion on how AI is transforming industries, streamlining operations, and creating new opportunities for growth in the Silicon Prairie.
- Talent Recruitment in a Competitive Market – A deep dive into strategies for attracting, developing, and retaining top talent in an evolving workforce landscape.
Events are open to the public, with most sessions offered free of charge to encourage participation from students, emerging founders, and community members eager to support local innovation.
