Heavy construction equipment arrived at the Crossroads redevelopment site today northwest of 72nd & Dodge Street. Woodbury Corporation, a Salt Lake City, Utah-based, full-service real estate management and development company, along with development partner WRK Real Estate, will develop the $850 million project. One of the first buildings will be Gamescape by Cinemark at the Crossroads, an all-in-one, immersive entertainment destination that will be the first in the state, and one of the first in the country.
Phase I of the Crossroads project will take about two years to complete. In addition to Gamescape, the first phase will include work on “Block B,” which is comprised of an 800-stall parking garage along with 200 multifamily units with retail on the ground floor. Block B, located off Cass Street, is expected to be completed the same time as Gamescape.
