Omaha Holiday Attractions Sparkle

December 31, 2025

Winter in Omaha is a season of glowing lanterns, towering trees and new attractions that bring the season’s magic to life.

Zoolightful is the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium’s winter holiday event (running through Jan. 11). See glowing larger-than-life animal lanterns and sparkling lights. Play games and enjoy activities and concessions.

The Durham Museum transforms into Christmas at Union Station (running through Jan. 11) with the region’s tallest (and debatably most ornate) Christmas tree. New this year: an indoor ice skating rink, where socks are all you need for skates.

Lauritzen Gardens glows during the holidays with Bright Nights, running through Jan. 4. Marvel at a 20-foot-tall poinsettia tree. Reflect among luminaries filling the Marjorie K. Daugherty Conservatory. New for 2025 is a vibrantly decorated Sofia’s Play Garden.

Two brand-new holiday attractions debuted this year.

ChristmasLand in Valley delivers a 70-acre drive-through light show created by Omaha’s own Brite Ideas Decorating, featuring more than 2 miles of synchronized displays, tunnels and themed areas like Jolly Reef, Enchanted Forest and Santa’s Barn Yard. Holiday music accompanies the route, and part of each ticket supports the Salvation Army Tree of Lights campaign. It runs through Jan. 4.

Falconwood Park in Bellevue offers Frosty Nights, an 80-acre Christmas village with interactive displays, a holiday market, Santa’s Village inside Hanke Hall, live reindeer, snowless sledding, LED tunnels, character meet-and-greets and pop-up entertainment. Food trucks and festive drinks round out the experience. Frosty Nights runs through Jan. 1.
