The Council Bluffs City Council approved Tax Increment Financing for a major data center project planned for vacant land near Iowa Western Community College southwest of Interstate 80 & Highway 6. The project will be built in two phases by a global company called Edged. Each phase will include a 283,497 sq. ft. data center building. The first phase will also include a 23,200 sq. ft. administrative building. The developer’s costs are estimated to be $220 million. The city will offer up to $50 million in TIF. The first phase is to be complete no later than 2029 and the second phase no later than 2033. – Isaiah Ang
