Nebraska Volleyball Coach Takes on LOVB Role

November 22, 2025

League One Volleyball (LOVB) announced yesterday that Dani Busboom Kelly, head coach of Nebraska Volleyball, has officially joined the organization as an ambassador for LOVB Nebraska.

As an ambassador, Busboom Kelly will support LOVB Nebraska’s mission through community engagement, athlete development initiatives, and efforts to strengthen the state’s rapidly growing volleyball ecosystem.

“Volleyball has always been at the heart of Nebraska, and I am incredibly honored to support LOVB Nebraska as they continue building something special here,” said Busboom Kelly. “This is a community that shaped me, inspired me, and believed in the power of this sport long before the rest of the country caught up. Being able to pour back into the next generation, while helping grow professional volleyball in my home state, is something I’m truly grateful for.”

LOVB Nebraska is dedicated to building a long-term, athlete-focused structure that includes youth clubs, local events, community programming, and a professional team in the nation’s premier volleyball hub. Through its rebrand earlier this year from LOVB Omaha to LOVB Nebraska, the club committed its efforts to the entire state of Nebraska. Adding Busboom Kelly helps grow those efforts.

“Dani is a tremendous leader and an example of what makes volleyball in Nebraska so special,” said Kirsten Bernthal Booth, president of business operations for LOVB Nebraska. “Her experience, integrity, and connections throughout our state will be invaluable as we continue to elevate professional volleyball in Nebraska and across the country. We are so excited to have her as an ambassador of LOVB Nebraska.”

LOVB Nebraska will kick off season two at Baxter Arena in Omaha on Sunday, January 11, 2026, against LOVB Houston. Fans will enjoy the home opener and first serve with a special appearance from Dani Busboom Kelly, joining in her new role as an ambassador for LOVB Nebraska.
