Surface Transportation Board Action Could Delay UP Merger

The Surface Transportation Board’s review of the Union Pacific proposed acquisition of Norfolk Southern is on pause. The STB announced that the two railroad companies will have until July 27 to submit additional information to their application. If needed, the railroad companies may ask for a 30-day extension.
