Eaton Moving to Larger Plant in Bellevue
Eaton, a multi-national manufacturing company based in Ireland, will move its Omaha plant from 3900 Dahlman Avenue to a larger building in Bellevue. The company plans to invest more than $30 million in the new plant and add 200 jobs. Eaton will refurbish the former Blue Buffalo facility at 10601 South 15th Street, which is southeast of Kennedy Freeway & Cornhusker Road. The 370,000 sq. ft. plant will manufacture medium-voltage switchgear, the equipment used to protect, control and isolate electrical equipment in data center, utility and industrial power generation and distribution systems.
Founded in 1911, Eaton had $27.4 billion in revenue last year and serves customers in 180 countries.
Crossroads Finally Goes Vertical
It’s been a long time coming, but construction has gone vertical at the Crossroads development northwest of 72nd & Dodge Street. The first building going up is a 90,000 sq. ft. indoor entertainment attraction to be called Gamescape by Cinemark. Salt Lake City-based Woodbury Corporation is now leading development of the $850 million mixed-use development. Work has also started on an underground parking garage.

Northwest Bank’s Headquarters Building
Northwest Bank is constructing a 2-story, 20,300 sq. ft. building at 14607 California Street. The construction site is a 1.6-acre lot in front of Beth El Synagogue northwest of 144th & West Dodge Road. The building will have two drive-thru lanes and 68 parking stalls. The building was designed by Stanley J How Architects and will be built by Sigma Corporation, Inc. Northwest Bank will consolidate its three Omaha-area locations into the future building.
RENZE Expands Manufacturing Facility
RENZE, a provider of exhibits and displays, branded environments and event graphics, is constructing a 40,000 sq. ft. addition to its manufacturing facility at 6847 North 16th Street, north of 16th & John J. Pershing Drive. RENZE expects to move in by April 20. The project will provide additional warehouse space along with a well-lit debut space for large exhibits, featuring 16 skylights and a 28-foot ceiling. The total size of the plant will increase to 130,000 sq. ft. RENZE, along with Garage Graphics and Window Optics, is celebrating its 131st year.
Infill Project at 76th & Pacific
Parkway Development Company, led by Ryan Spellman, plans to build an infill apartment project the Westside area. The developer plans to squeeze a 5-story, 34-unit apartment building onto a .48-acre site at 7630 Pacific Street. The property used to have a single-family residential building. The proposed apartment building will have 34 stalls in a first-floor parking garage. The Omaha Planning Board approved a planned unit redevelopment overlay and rezoning to accommodate the project. Gretna Landing Building Goes Vertical
Noddle Companies has started vertical construction on Nebraska Medicine’s 3-story, 125,000 sq. ft. Gretna Landing Health Center northwest of 192nd & Highway 370. When it opens in the second half of next year, the health center will include primary and specialty care, orthopedics and sports medicine, imaging technologies, laboratory services, urgent care, a pharmacy and procedural spaces.
The building is part of a 31-acre, mixed-use project that will feature office space and professional services, along with retail space, restaurants, fitness and wellness-focused retailers and residential units.
CLAAS of America R&D Center
CLAAS Group is building a 44,800 sq. ft., research-and-development center on the southwest corner of its existing Sarpy County property near 132nd & Giles Road. The space will be more than 25 percent larger than the temporary off-site shop currently used for research and development. Completion is planned for fall 2026.
Based in Germany, CLAAS manufactures LEXION combines for North American farmers at its Omaha plant. Omaha also serves as the company’s North American headquarters. Since the plant opened in 2001, it has manufactured more than 10,000 combines. The Omaha campus includes a 162,000 sq. ft. manufacturing plant and the recently added CLAAS Training Academy. More than 250 CLAAS employees work on the campus.
Flower Child at Regency Shopping Center
Flower Child plans to open its first Nebraska location in late June at 120 Regency Parkway, on the north side of Regency Shopping Center. The restaurant is under construction in the parking lot northeast of Bonefish Grill and Borsheims. The 5,002 sq. ft. building will have a covered outdoor patio. The fast-casual restaurant focuses on healthy eating. Flower Child started in Arizona and currently has 43 restaurants in 15 states. The closest existing locations are in St. Louis, Oklahoma City and Denver.
