Omaha Scores Big, Hosting 9,000 Attendees for Youth Basketball

Omaha welcomed more than 700 youth basketball teams – resulting in 9,000 attendees – for the NXTPRO Sports Basketball Finals from July 26-28. About 90 percent of attendees came from outside the Omaha area.

NXTPRO Sports provides players, parents, coaches and recruiters with the necessary tools to elevate their basketball game for the next level.

Teams played at Union Bank & Trust Sports Complex, Iowa West Field House in Council Bluffs, and other facilities in the Omaha and Lincoln areas. Athletes were on their own for meals, providing opportunities for attendees to explore the city.

Visit Omaha is well positioned to continue attracting a growing number of youth and amateur sporting events thanks to the city’s rich sports hosting history and its future guaranteed by new state-of-the-art developments.
